Lloris Close To Arsenal Switch

After club captain Robin van Persie dropped a bomb at the Emirates Stadium, there is some good news as French media are reporting that Arsenal are close to signing French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Arsenal have been thought to be monitoring Lyon’s goalkeeper Lloris in recent weeks, especially during France’s outing in the Euro 2012. After signing attackers Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, manager Arsene Wenger has some defensive reinforcements in mind, starting with the 25-year old Lloris.
The custodian has been exceptional in goal for the past few years for Lyon, and is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. With Arsenal still a little weak defensively, Wenger is eyeing his French compatriot to be Arsenal’s new No. 1.
