Samuel Galindo was an unused substitute for Gimnastic de Tarragona as was Chuks Aneke at Preston, where Rhys Murphy was left out completely. Nico Yennaris was also left out at Notts County.
Carlos Vela: The Mexican’s scoring run came to an end in Real Sociedad’s 1-1 draw at Malaga. A goal down after 20 minutes, Sociedad we’re really up against it when Gonzalez was sent off just before half time. However, Prieto equalised after the break before Sociedad survived a barrage from the Los Boquerones attack, with keeper Bravo making a number of key saves. Vela was replaced after 70 minutes.
