Madrid Target Tevez as Mancini Looks To Fund Van Persie Move

Real Madrid are set to make a shock move for Manchester City rebel Carlos Tevez and the Premier League champions could accept the offer in order to generate funds for Robin Van Persie’s transfer.

Manchester City are known admirers of the Dutch striker, but their manager, Roberto Mancini has been told by the owners that he needs to offload some of his players, in order to make a big money move for the Gunners captain. With Real Madrid reportedly offering a sum of GBP 25m for the Argentine Tevez, City might be tempted to accept the offer, so as to make an initial bid for Van Persie. Also, Tevez’s departure will also lessen City’s wage bill considerably, as he is currently on a whooping GBP 198,000-a-week.
