Menezes Batters Brazilian Santos

Brazil coach, Mano Menezes has revealed that Andre Santos’ continuous exclusion for the national team squad is due to his ‘tactical naivety’.

The Arsenal defender has been time and again omitted from Menezes’ squad. Last he wore the famous yellow jersey of Brazil was at last summer’s Copa America, but has since been ignored for the honour of representing the Samba boys. There continues to be question marks over whether his absence from the national team colours would end.
Santos is originally a left back, but has a tendency to attack a lot more than he defends. His defending skills have been called into question in some quarters of Brazil.
Menezes managed the full back for one season at Corinthians and he reveals that he had a tough time managing him due to his affinity to attack.
