Montpellier 1 – 2 Arsenal: Overcoming tired legs and Bouldy’s paralysis

They can’t all be 6-1 romps in the sunshine.
Last night was about as far away from that as you could imagine. As soon as we walked out of the tunnel you could tell that this was a game Montpellier have been waiting their entire history for. The atmosphere felt hostile. The players looked up for it. And Olivier Giroud looked like a little bit of wee was running down his leg.
Despite opening brightly, within ten minutes we’d already shot ourselves in the foot. Younes Belhanda was going nowhere on the very edge of our penalty box when Thomas Vermaelen opted for the tackle instead of ushering the player to safety.
