My take on Arsenal and Manchester United agreeing the transfer of Robin Van Persie

Initially, as I wrote a number of weeks ago I was rather sceptical about the potential signing of Robin Van Persie from a Manchester United supporter’s perspective with the Dutchman being twenty nine years old and our current forward line was already well stocked however with tonight’s news that United have agreed a fee with Arsenal for the player I find myself with somewhat of a different opinion.
Manchester United already have Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez as their main strikers with us discounting Dimitar Berbatov as it is expected the experienced Bulgarian will leave the club this summer, and these are all top strikers in their own right with different abilities and traits that complement each other’s games.
