Not a bad back-up plan for Wenger?

Despite joining mega-rich Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in February 2011 from Pahktakor Tashkent, Uzbekistan midfielder Odil Ahmedov hopes Arsenal will revive their interest in him this summer. Fat chance of this happening I reckon!
The 24-year-old was once linked with a move to our club, but in the end the Uzbek star opted to join Anzhi. However, it seems he is ready and willing to step up to the Premier League and has pinpointed Arsenal as his prime destination.
He told regnum.ru a few days ago:
‘I’d like to try out playing football in England and the team I favour the most is Arsenal.’
