It has been confirmed by official website Arsenal.com that young up-and-comer Ryo Miyaichi has completed a a season-long loan move to Wigan Athletic.
At only 19 years of age and with plenty of competition in the Arsenal first-team, it was pretty clear that the youngster was unlikely to get many minutes in the top flight for Arsenal.
With Wigan star Victor Moses set to leave the club this transfer window with Chelsea showing interest, there is a great opportunity for Miyaichi to get plenty of game-time under his belt in order to adapt to the Premier League.
The opportunity to work under manager Roberto Martinez must also be considered a positive, with the Spaniard recently heavily linked with the Liverpool job which he is reported to have turned down.
