On the subject of team news, the only change from last weekend is that Koscielny is back in the squad after missing the Villa game. It was an expected return, but a positive boost nonetheless. Martin Keown has been speaking of his admiration for the Vermcielny partnership, which has flourished this season. Although Djourou is clearly a capable centre-back (let’s not mention his outings at full-back), he doesn’t have the ability of Koscielny to nick the ball early, nor the pace/awareness to get back if the opponents get in behind.
