Ryo Miyaichi: ‘Lightning pace but no Plan B’ – A Bolton fan’s perspective

In the first of an occasional series I’ll be taking a look at some of our extensive list of loanees from last season, reviewing how they did on their travels and having a little sit down and a think about whether we’re likely to see them lighting up the Emirates next year.
Today we start with Ryo Miyaichi. Hotly tipped by many Arsenal fans, the 19 year old signed from Japanese schoolboy football in January last year rivals Theo Walcott for pace down the wing (he’s been clocked doing the 100m in 10.6 seconds) and got some rave reviews for his performances at Feyenoord last year where he was dubbed Ryodinho by the Dutch media.
