Sir Alex Ferguson admits that he is making no progress with Robin van Persie transfer

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insisted the club is trying its best to land Robin van Persie at Old Trafford despite claiming there is “no progress” at this moment.
The Dutchman revealed in early July that he won’t be signing a new contract at Arsenal that fuelled wild speculations about his future.
After Manchester City and Juventus forfeited from the race to sign him, it was all left with Manchester United to price the 29-year-old away from the Emirates.
And there lies the big hurdle. Arsenal have already rejected an initial bid from United and are not willing to negotiate unless the Red Devils meet the minimum fee of over £25m.
