Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been handed a massive £50 million war chest this summer to improve his squad and wrest the Premier League title back from city rivals Manchester City next season.
The Red Devils looked in dire need of replacements last season in order to match the free-spending Citizens, with injuries and inexperience leading to the side's first trophyless season in seven years.
However, Ferguson has been busy at work over the off-season to improve his squad and mount a stronger title challenge in the upcoming season, and has now been reportedly handed a extra £50 million by the club's owners despite spending over £20 million already on Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell.
