The Spanish paper Sport is reporting that Arsenal are holding talks with Barcelona over the transfer of midfielder Alex Song and state that a decision is expected within the next 48 hours.
Song, who has two years left on his contract, is seen the ideal replacement for Keita by Barcelona however it seems an odd move given how highly Wenger rates Song. That being said, if the player is asking for the move Arsenal might have learned from last year’s fiasco regarding the sale of Cesc and decided to give in to the midfielders wishes.
I just don’t see it though but that is the only reason I can think of for Arsenal, if they actually are, engaging in talks with Barcelona over the sale of yet another one of our top players.
The story, which must be appearing in the hard copy of the paper as it is not yet on their website, was tweeted about by @B...
