Spurs To Seal The Deal For Arsenal Target ?

If Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is to be believed, his side are on the brink of sealing the deal for Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen.

The 25-year old Belgium international has impressed a host of European clubs, including Arsenal, and their manager Arsene Wenger had admitted that the club would be interested in a deal for the defender.
van der Vaart was quoted in The Sun, saying, “Spurs asked me about him. If he’s sensible, he will opt to join us.”
Additionally, he was also quoted in the Sunday People, saying, “I hope Jan comes to Tottenham.
“As far as I know the deal is close to being done.”
