The game started off how you’d expect it any other match against Stoke to start. We were trying to work the ball along the floor and create space, Stoke were hoofing the ball up field in an NFL-like manner. The game itself – as expected against Stoke – wasn’t too interesting.
Before the game I couldn’t see us winning, because every time we face Stoke, we struggle, and yesterday was no different. Peter Crouch gave The Potters the lead in typical Stoke fashion with a header after nine minutes. I feel Szczesny could have done better with that header, but oh well.
After fifteen minutes Rosicky floated in a far-post cross for Captain Vantastic, who put us back on level terms. “The loudest ground in the league” had been silenced – and that silence was deafening throughout the rest of the game. As usual the Arsenal away support was fantast...
