Well that was fun wasn’t it? Another big weekend in the premiership and another test passed with flying colours.
The Etihad has become somewhat of a fortress for the home side, I think they have dropped 4 of the last 87 points there. Strangely however, I felt pretty confident before the game. Sure, this was to be a real test given the rubbish that we had previously played, but there’s something about this team, missing from the last two versions of Arsene’s vision.
News was coming through mid morning that Vermaelen was ill and would miss out. In the past such an injury would have sent twitter into meltdown. But it seemed the general feeling was that Koscielny was at least as good, and that it really shouldn’t be a problem (apart from for my fantasy football team, which had a nightmare!)
