The Diaby Conundrum – should he stay or should he go?

The Frenchman has produced some moments of brilliance and is highly rated by not only Wenger and his peers but also the French national coach Laurent Blanc. Yet the injury-prone Abou Diaby was restricted to only five first team appearances last season after a series of niggling injuries that have continually prevented him from making an impression in the Gunners lineup.
The tale for the promising Frenchman’s career took a sour twist that fateful day against Sunderland in 2006 that saw their defender Dan Smith produced a horrendous tackle on Diaby that left the talented midfielder with a severely fractured ankle.
Since then it’s been a long road to recovery, a road that former Gunner Eduardo and youngster Aaron Ramsey have had to partake after their respective horrific injuries...
