So today an Arsenal legend Sol Campbell announced his decision to retire from professional football, and looks to complete his coaching badges for his future career.
The much respected ex Arsenal Centre back turned out 135 times for the gunners, and was part of the ‘Invincibles’ side that went 49 games unbeaten. His retirement comes as a great loss to football and despite his age, he still received offers at the beginning of the 2011/2012 campaign. He was also capped 73 times for England and wore the famous captains armband. In an interview after the announcement he said,
