We don’t need another creative midfielder… We have Robin Van Persie

Now that we know Jack Wilshere may not be back for the start of the new season, many Arsenal fans are in the knee jerk reaction phase and asking Arsene to sign another creative midfielder. Well, we don’t need another creative genius in the team. If we were to sign another player of quality, say someone like Cristian Eriksen, what’s going to happen when Wilshere comes back. Surely it would be difficult to somehow accommodate these players into the team. Yes, I know, we need to rotate the players but to spend over £30 million (that’s the price for a quality player like Eriksen or Gotze) on a player to sit on the bench 50% of the time, well, that is a luxury that only teams like Man City can afford unfortunately.
