We don’t need Batman, we don’t need Robin

    The last 24 hours or so have been crazy in terms of Arsenal news. It has been a tale of two statements, one from Mr. Van Persie and another from Red & White holdings. The first in my opinion was ill advised and insulting, the second was a reaction to the first and timed perfectly for maximum effect. A lot has already been said about Robin’s announcement that he won’t sign a new deal so I’ll try not to dwell to long. I don’t begrudge him for not signing a new deal but what annoys me is he has left Arsenal no choice. He has done this so he does not have to hand in a transfer request, keeping his loyalty bonus. But this is effectively an informal transfer request. The Arsenal fans will not support him and he will have to be sold this transfer window.
