It has been the worst kept secret for months, but yesterday the news we all knew was confirmed. Lukas Podolski will officially become an Arsenal player on June 1. It is a fantastic signing, and one that I truly believe will make a world of difference to us next season. Touch wood that he remains fit.
Playing style
I have no doubts in my mind that Podolski will fit into the Arsenal seamlessly. Having watched him for years playing for the German national team, you can tell he is the type of player who loves to attack with pace using the width of the pitch. A large amount of his goals have come from clinical counter attacking play.
