Well…There’s That: A post transfer window conversation with @DezilDez

Malaga LB Nacho Monreal was the sole acquisition during the January transfer window. Signed on deadline day for a reported £8.5m.
Tonight we saw the winter transfer window come and go and (as with all things) the mood around Arsenal fans is decidedly mixed. Deadline day activity saw us make our first signing of the new year with Malaga LB Nacho Monreal flying into London and signing a long term deal (estimated to be around £50k/week wages with an £8.5m transfer fee). At the very least this move should be celebrated by all. Monreal is by all accounts a very skilled player and arguably the second best LB in La Liga after Jordi Alba. With Gibbs being down for the time being with an injury and Santos making every Gooner squeamish just seeing him warm up, this deal seems like a no brainer.
