Wenger clinging on at the Emirates

The fall-out from Saturday’s miserable defeat to Swansea continues, & losing the Champions league tie with Olympiakos has only made things worse. While Arsene Wenger’s ability to consistently see Arsenal through to the knock-out stages of the competition is admirable, the club’s troubles in the league are starting to grate with the support.
For many, the Gunners’ dreadful run of recent live scores, their worst start to a season since 1994, has been a long time coming. No club can continually sell its best stars and expect to compete at the top of the Premier League; even a top four spot now under threat.
Most of the Arsenal supporters do appreciate that the building of the Emirates Stadium cost significant amounts of money just at a time when the world went into recession; bills had to be paid and certain cuts had to be introduced....
