Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has lined up with Italian club Napoli in the chase for Montpellier’s defender Yanga-Mbiwa, but will have to act fast to beat Napoli to the finish.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is running out of options as he attempts to rejuvenate his squad. Montpellier’s Yanga-Mbiwa, one of the defenders on Wenger’s transfer wishlist, has also been scouted by Napoli, and the Italians will be submitting a bid soon if reports are to be believed.
French radio station RMC Sports has reported that Napoli are already way ahead in negotiations for the sought-after defender.
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is one of Ligue 1′s star defenders, and has been instrumental in aiding Montpellier to secure their first ever Ligue 1 title.
