Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the club tried to sign German star Macro Reus before he agreed a £14.1 million move to Bundesliga champions Dortmund. The 23-year-old who started in the German team last night that won 4-2 against Greece agreed a deal in January that see’s him reunite with former club Borussia Dortmund, the team he began his career with as a youngster.He earned his seventh cap for Germany and also scored his second goal for the national team but it was the first time he’d played in a Germany game from the start.
